Harvey is a very well respected serial entrepreneur most known as the Founder/CPA for Peachtree Software, which is the company that standardized accounting on the personal computer and still does today. He is well known for being the CPA having founded and raising the funds for Peachtree Software. This is the company, which IBM selected as their microcomputer accounting Software to be on their first IBM PC. The software helped standardize double entry accounting in businesses through the PC. He operated the company very successfully growing it to be the leading software company in its field. It merged with a top public mainframe software company, where he was in charge of coordinating the work between the two companies. Even today, Peachtree software is sold by Sage, which is one of the world's largest business software companies, as Sage 50. It is used by a great deal of people world-wide over all these years.

The second company was one of the first large eLearning companies that open up this new market. He operated the company for 12 years. It included overseeing the business including development and consulting to the largest clients. This included starting the university for Verizon and working with them for 12 years. It required constant travel to New York City to work directly with their Corporate Officers and Directors for the company. Also started as well as directly operated the ELearning division for AT&T (Bell South) for four years. This included supervising a total of 35 employees selected to establish this standard in the company. Directly consulted to IBM (where the multimedia video was filmed at the IBM studios)and traveled the world with their executives. Other large companies acquired and consulted to include the Australian Government in creating their national eLearning center with IBM, operating a $ 10 Million grant for a large school system, the New York Labor Union center , Anheuser-Busch (where it was used at all their 29 plants), Ford Motors, Ga Pacific, Home Depot, McDonald's and many others.

His other companies operated included a business software developer with clients including AFLAC, GM for their electric car, IBM, T-Mobile as well as another multimedia company.

Health Care is a specific area of interest over many years. He Co-Founded health care organizations including the Southeastern Medical Software Association (www.SEMDA.net) and the Emory Health Futures Corporate Pitch events. SEMDA is a non-profit trade association with the mission to make the southeast a world-class region for medical technology, device, and diagnostic companies. The organization has a two day conference, which he helped create, where selected companies demonstrate their products. He solicited the first set of VC’s and Private Equity firms. Coordinated a meeting with the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce to discuss the conference and obtain their support. The Emory Health Futures event provides twice a year a seminar for top companies to discuss the areas these large companies desire to invest into health. Compared to all the events that have companies pitch to VC’s, this is the exact opposite where large companies pitch others. These have included Halyard Health ($ 2 Billion health care division spin-off from Kimberly-Clark) and sponsor of the events. Other included officers of Emory University, IBM Watson Health, WellStar and Share Care (Officer who was President of WebMD).Events are hosted at Emory Business School. They are hosted with Dr. Benn Konsynski, who is a distinguished professor of Emory University.

Another organization he helped Co-Found is the Southeastern Software Association (SSA) (www.tagonline.org). This and two other organizations created the Technology Association of Ga. (TAG), which currently has over 35,000 members. This is the largest organization of its type in the country. Currently, he serves on two Boards within TAG. They include SSA and the International Business Society.

Harvey started his career at PWC (Coopers & Lybrand – Big 8 CPA firm at the time). He became an audit senior and then was asked back to the firm after leaving Peachtree Software. They asked him to create and operate the SE Small computer IT consulting practice and serve on their National Computer Committee. He still maintains his CPA license that he earned while there. Over the years, he has served on committees for the American Institute of CPA’s (AICPA) and was a featured speaker many times at their national conferences.

He served as an Officer in the US Army. First he was an Officer operating the Air Defense site located in Anchorage Alaska. Then he was transferred to Vietnam Army Headquarters to serve on the Four Star General Staff. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service there. One of his assignments included coordinating briefings with the other services on the Drug issues in country to Congress. To this day, he still understands the critical health issues in these areas.
